If You're Ever In Houston, Texas...

If you're ever in Houston, Texas, stop by Clay's at 17715 Clay Road. Clay's is definitely not your typical "hamburger joint." A Gilligan's Island feel will hit you when you sit under the bamboo-covered, multilevel wood deck. Relax and prop your feet on the deck rails and let the kids play in the covered sandbox. The large playing area has hosted many soccer, football and baseball games as happy parents enjoy Clay's delicious burgers and salads. Surrounded by woods, watch as the neighboring horses stick their heads through the wooden fence, hoping the children will toss them a french fry or two. And, don't take the sign warning you to watch out for raccoons too lightly. These critters love creeping up to the deck and nabbing a forgotten piece of chicken or hamburger.

Clay's has been proclaimed "the best burger in Houston" by the Houston Chronicle. The Roger Burger, with its cheddar cheese and mild jalapenos, is a favorite. Hawaiian Chicken Salad, chicken fried steak, and an assortment of appetizers grace the menu and your taste buds. Kids can dine on corn dogs, chicken strips, hamburgers and popcorn shrimp. During certain months, entertained is provided with live bands either outside on the deck -- weather permitting -- or inside where adults and children can dance the night away. Clay's definitely has something for everyone!
