If You're Ever In Tumon Bay, Guam...

My special place is called the Lost Pond. Its name fits because only those who have lived on Guam would know where to find it. It's a beautiful freshwater pond hidden deep in the jungle just off the Tumon Beach in Guam. The jungle opens up just enough to let the moon light up the pond. It's a wonderful spot to sneak into with your special honey, and when visiting at night, the moon reflecting off the water creates a very serene, romantic mood.

The kids enjoy the Lost Pond during the day because the jungle keeps it cool, and there is a rope to swing into the water that provides plenty of entertainment. My favorite time to visit, however, is during sunset when you can sit on the rocky side of the pond and watch the reflections of the sun setting in the water. It's such an enchanting place you almost forget you're on a tiny island – it feels as though you're in the middle of a deep jungle, and the pond is there for your enjoyment alone.
