Hi! My name is Micki and my family are Disney-holics. :-)
It all started for us about 13 years ago. My husband, Terry, and I were dating and decided to make our first "alone" trip a jaunt
to Disneyland. Living in the California bay area, this wasn't too difficult a task. Driving time to Anaheim is about seven hours, gas was cheaper then, and we stayed in low cost
hotels. He was going to college and living at home, I had my own apartment, a low paying clerk job and was going to school at night. We needed a break.
After that trip we were
hooked. We made several trips over the next couple of years. When we got engaged we planned our wedding around the best time to visit Walt Disney World in Florida. I don't think there
is a season we've missed at Disneyland -- they're all great, but we'll now go to great lengths to avoid weekend visits or anytime during the prime summer months. Long wait times for
rides were never a real problem until we expanded our family. Now we have Matthew (born May 1996) and Andrew (born May 1999) and their patience is nill when it comes to waiting for a
much anticipated ride.
This travel diary is for our next trip to Disneyland, planned for November 13-17, 2000. It will be our first trip with both boys
being mobile and we're sure it will be an experience.
I hope I can pass along some trip tricks along the way.
Enjoy!
